    1. Ne, není. Už jsme to tady řešili - hra je prohlášena za abandonware. Navíc se jedná o mod (včetně upraveného EXE souboru).

    4. Četl jsem o téhle tématice dost a je to na morálním postoji každého - hra je stále shareware, protože se na ni vztahuje původní licence, zároveň se však již nemá žádné využití, protože hra nejde zakoupit.
      Takže - oficiálně se jedná o pirátství, morálně v tom ale nevidím problém. Zvlášť když hlavní vývojář před pár lety v rozhovoru na YouTube uvedl, že je rád, jak se hře komunita věnuje a kdyby měl přístup ke zdrojákům, hned by ji uvolnil jako open-source.
      Proto jsem se sám rozhodl sdílet kompletní hru na Google Drive. Ale taky mám 2 originálky :)

    5. Souhlasím, dle mého je celá problematika tzv. autorských práv o postoji každého jednotlivce. Asi většina zdejších čtenářů má nějakou originálku doma (já taky dvě), naproti tomu si nemyslím, že něco pokazím, když si někdo stáhne tenhle mod jako svou "prvničku".
      Dle mého je definice abandonware splněna a já nebudu čekat, že mi to nějaký ouřada odsouhlasí :-)

      Why after so many years we even bother to discuss it again and all still play it?

    7. I just reacted to the author of the initial comment, me & Myra don't need to discuss this again.
      But to reply you - I am not a lawyer, but I think breaking a license rules is illegal, regardless of what you do with it, and regardless of the status of "abandonware" this doesn't change anything on the license at all.
      Summary - sharing this game is illegal, but as it can't harm anybody, I don't see any moral problem to do so.
      Hopefully we won't make it that popular so the actual owners of the license will realize they could start profitting on it :)

    8. No worries, it just sound like for way too long RBR community argues about it, while the owners of the licence don't seem to care at all. :-)

      Lets spend the time on constant improving or giving constructive criticism/feedback in order to get our RBR King higher and better instead wasting it on such "questions" first and even explanations while we all love it so much, because there is no better alternative after 16 years.

      Enjoy it if you want or don't worry about pirate RBR 2020 ;-)

  3. I had not played on the physics of NGP3 before. I tried it and was pleasantly surprised. The car does what I want. At last! With the physics of NGP6, I have always struggled with terrible understeer in simple tuern and terrible control in hairpins. But in NGP3, everything is perfect with that. Also, the weight of the car is better than in NGP6. I also like reshade, the game now looks like in 4k. Thanks for the release.

      Thank you for your positive feedback, all you have mentioned above was exactly my target in last 4 years of work.
      NGP has incredible potential, but from NGP 4 something in differentials was changed or restricted and that is why NGP 3, but it is nice to hear that it is satisfying RBR fans.

    Just to let you know, if anyone feels like improving this mod by adding for example ATP mod or WRC dashboard or building intro or any other improvement, please feel free, RBR is everyone's and nobody's at the same time and if there is anyone out there who wants to contribute to the development of our beloved RBR sim, I would be happy to hear that and help with anything.
    Community means build, grow and enjoy our effort together.

    I've tried very hard to get the download link of this mod over several weeks now, but - unfortunately - I failed.
    I've even tried to contact the author of the Mod 2020 - Mr.Prezemek - himself via Email several times, but he has not reacted as of yet.

    Which leads to my question: Where can I get the download link of this wonderful RBR mod ???

    Please, any help of you guys is highly appreciated.

      Yes, I've received the link from you meanwhile, and thank you for this great attempt to make RBR better and better.

      My first impressions: some cars of your mod drive better compared to NGP6 (more stable and controllable in turns, hairpins), with better interaction between throttle and steering.

      Some cars drive even worse. For example: your physics rendition of the Fiesta WRC 2020 (2019) has a serious shifting/RPM/accelaration issues from lower to higher gears compared to its counterpart in NGP6.

      E.g the cars on asphalt at high speeds are much better controllable in NGP6 vs your NGP3 (but this is comprehensible if you follow the history of Workerbee's NGP).

      All in all I really can't say which physics and its cars drives better. Both renditions have their advantages and disadvantages.

      Anyhow your great mod would need more fine tuning, more development.

      Unfortunately, this will be your last mod published, if I've understood your reading correctly.

      But this is fully understandable, all my sympathy goes with you.

    6. LoL, unfortunately I'm not an engineer like you. My adjustements would make the venerable Fiesta even worse :)

      Yes, it's the same Fiesta of your version v.2.9.5; maybe I should try your latest version v.3.5.

      I should have mentioned, that I'm driving in automatic gear mode most of the time.

      Gear shifting in a propper way is not an issue if someone drives in manual mode likely.

      But in automatic mode you can hear the whining on high RPM pretty clearly, but it doesn't shift as expected - it shifts fairly deferred.

      I've tried the same Fiesta WRC in my NGP6 RBRPro setup, also in automatic mode. And the differences are fairly obvious. In NGP6 RBRPro it shifts very fast, and as expected from a racing car, from low to high, no high RPM whining sound.

      But all in all, your mod is just awesome; really love it.

    7. Haha, i am not an engineer, i am just a stubborn guy who spent about 5 years on try and error method and millions of starts and stops of the game to after every little tweak to see the outcome.
      It was massive pain in the back side, but turns out that it was worth it.
      Forgive me, but i have to ask this, which rally driver drives automatic gearbox??? :-)
      I never even tried it in automatic which is why i wouldn't know if you did not tell me.

    8. Okay Przemek, I've digged deeper into your folder structure and of NGP settings.

      PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!

      From now on my Fiesta WRC 2019 drives like a 4WD rocket on Speed.

      But these settings are not really new. I've just done copy and paste from the corresponding NGP6 physics file of the Fiesta.

      Now the acceleration is significantly higher, and I'm able to reach the first corner in Sardian stage with the 6th gear.

      With Przemeks default settings this was only possible with max. the 2nd or 3rd gear.

      Once again: even with this new "Ford 4WD Monster" I'm pleasantly surprised how well the NGP3 adaptations of Przemek work on asphalt. It's a poor joy to ride and drift !

    11. I've worked a lot on the weight of the vehicles, COG and inertias, even gravity vs the tire grip level, as this still is an issue to me, that I would love to improve, but I run out of ideas and skills to do it.
      I still think that the body of the car is to light weight, which causes the acceleration and breaking still not as realistic as it should be (I mean the longitudinal grip more, but lateral grip too).
      I have tweaked the cars to have more power and torque and diffs to get the AWD behaviour more natural, but in my opinion the base of the car, wheels grip vs fight with the cars body should be more weight transfer struggle compare to what it is now, but instead cars once throttled, on braking and in turns also, feel like one big light block (cardboardish) on all surfaces. Tarmac reveals it the most, as tarmac in rbr was always a bit strange, and I believe it is mainly due to the lack of feeling of the heaviness of the car and therefore the lack of forces at weight transfer constantly fighting with the surfaces.
      I am not sure, if this can be achieved, at least from the engine as it is, without making changes in the code, but I never wanted to touch that by myself. If the cars had more body weight without causing equal amount of grip increase, at best about 25% increase in grip, because tarmac is a bit under and oversteery at all speeds anyway, (different on different tracks) and instead the weight transfer was the main cause loosing grip, as opposed to making surfaces slippery to give driver the similar to natural feel (what seems to be the hardest part in all rallying, racing games), then the movement of the vehicles vs background would be perfect without the wet soap effect.
      Otherwise with wrong foundations you can get close, but never where it should be, as you have to compromise or sacrifice other correct parameters to make it feel like real, but never really there.
      If you look at the real WRC cars launch (bear in mind that they mostly use launch control at the start) the 380bhp and all the torque is restricted to avoid spin of the wheels and loss of time, but if the LC was off the car really acts like that, check the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3egzks8yMQ&list=PL7sUIPVISVjKCDigp0wuYMZZhTRSeEsIU&index=3
      This one is on wet and the spins and response of the car is faster and more grip than in rbr on dry tarmac also on gravel tires.
      But here on dry with gravel setup https://www.goodwood.com/grr/event-coverage/festival-of-speed/2018/7/video-wrc-fiesta--count-the-donuts/ so much grip and power through the wheels fights the upper body mass, but in rbr (although still best out of all rally games) revs don't reach limit at full throttle, car spins surprisingly slowly compare to launch and braking and the under and oversteer too easily without intentionally throwing the car to do this, as on the above video. So, if you add more power or torque the behaviour is like in fast forward movie, instead of the wheels loosing contact with the surfaces vs the drag of mass of the car.

    12. Sorry to say the same thing so many times in a different way, but it is hard to describe it right, because the incorrect optimum distorts the laws of physics here and the behaviour there also contradicts situation to situation and I struggle to describe it correctly too.
      Also individual stages have different grip characteristics, for example Gestel feels almost perfect and cannot remember the names now, but some other tracks are so slippery or grippy that it clearly shows how important the interaction between them both is, what leads me to think that maybe sometimes author of specific stage preferred more or less grip or slide, but then again, weight transfer and grip combination makes it behave unnatural.
      It is very strange and I have the feeling that it may be the limit of the RBR physics engine, which is very clearly noticeable in original RBR physics, but tarmac has more grip (more natural) somehow, although the light weight of the vehicles seems to be very similar and more obvious, again as if the set point was incorrect at the heart of rbr’s engine and the rest was adjusted to it, instead of the other way round.
      Plus NGP 3 did not have the update with better grip levels on surfaces with wrong tires, so still much could be better if the creator was interested in going back and add the improvements from newer versions, but avoid the things that not necessarily enhanced the next iterations.
      I’ve tried all I can, but I cannot do all what is possible, if that makes sense, therefore it is pretty much best what can be done at my level.

  15. hi, i am new to rbr , and i cannot find the answer anywhere , actually i cannot find anything on ngp3.
    So my question is , is ngp3 an older version of ngp6? is it outdated and is ngp6 more advanced and more detailed on the physics ? and can i use ngp6 cars with ngp3? i would like to play with the most realistic physics mod and i dont know which to choose .

    This is not an easy question to answer and an attempt to do this will most possibly start an awkward debate.
    NGP 6 is supposed to be the best version of all NGP plugins, due to being the most advanced, but what you have to take into consideration is, that everyone creators and players interpret the most realistic in their own way. Both versions NGP 3 and 6 are Worker Bee creations, but i have made adjustments to NGP 3 version (mainly due to not being restricted like the later ones) purely to get the best out of Gunter's (WB) great work.
    Any opinion here is just an opinion and we would have to ask professional drivers for the answer to be sure, therefore i would advice to test all of them and create your own opinion and find for yourself what suits you most.
