It will be a nice track for sure.I will have to install another plugin just to drive it.It would be good to unite all plugins and make proper world rally championship online.Instead of each nation barricading themselves in their own plugin.There must be eventually one plugin that will unite all cars with proper physics,and realistic tracks and drivers.RBR is not a game anymore,it has become a science project (in my opinion:)
Puy Du Lac has appeared on Hungarian plugin several months ago. I suppose it was a mutually beneficial exchange, I do not remember the details, sorry :-)
Does the Hungarian Plugin has physics like Czech?Because I want to drive on best physics and there is so many plugins,and all of them have their problems.
Myra! There was nothing exchange. When Mathou firstly released the track on RSRBR, we asked him that it is available for free or not. He said that he will update the track. We are waiting half a year, and when he released the final version of the track (at 2012 january), he told us that we are allowed to use it in our plugin.
The exchange was R3 beta cars for Akagi with Italians ;)
Well Tibi, then there is no obstacle to other plugins seek authorization of this track. Is useful to know this. But the exchange also works and it is very good.
Great work.Can I do same trick with other tracks like Puy Du Lac?Probably not cause they are encrypted or sth...Anyway thanks.Aragona,nice track,tarmac has smaller grip I think (it can be fun).Overally as a beta its quite nice.Needs some polishing although.And the size of textures is quite big.Same as Peyregrosse,and Hondarribia.I personally advise to unpack the track-47_O_textures.rbz into maps folder as well.It cuts down a lot of loading time.Cheers
Puy du Lac is free to my knowledge, I asked on behalf of RBR-World and they told me so (then we've been quite lazy to introduce it into RBR-World...). Akagi is presently free for everybody on my website.
Im totaly with your first post DiaKoN RBR. Im try to close the gap between comunitys since 2010. But as Vyshi wrote a lot of egos, some personal animosity from past and to less menpower with high skill nip this idea in the bud. Find skilled programmer and footmen who can create webinterface and database and they are willing to work aprox a half year hard for this project, all is possible. We have a men who is able to programming the pluginbase in same (or better) quality like wally, but it is realy to much work for one men. And there should the willing of the most of the RBR plugin comunitys to support this (including all stuff free to play for all), otherwise its ends in a new (ego) war....
I am with you all the way.But in my opinion there should be some small donations monthly so the servers are paid and there is some resources for progress.Imagine One Plugin that has around 10 thousand people,each paying at least 2 Euro every two months or something.That would give room to donate modellers programmers and so on.Officially everything would be for free*tracks etc.) but in order to use servers you would need to donate every month or 2.Thats just my opinion.Anyway I will focus now on finishing Magnolia.A little later we can talk and see what we can do...Cheers Lamda and keep up the good work.
money does not replace lack of motivation. if it is only a "job" you dont make quality and the project goes sluggish (all other thinks loking more important than this project)
You must have fun to do and a own reason why you spend hundreds/thousends of hours (for me it is, im not able/i dont want do a real rallye project (To dangerous, to less money to do it right), but RBR gives me the chance to feel it halfway how it would be.
I think, financial to provide server is not the problem. RBR dont use much resources so it can used cheaper offer.
RBR helps only to bundle the skill and menpower for the goal to make RBR (not any comunity) better. Suppose, constructive work together, no restrictions for use the releases, share knowledge without expect equivalent, forget trouble from past, ignore the stupid idiots, comunicate open (and dont take all critism personal), trust from time to time in face of you could get a kick in as, keep your promise (and dont promise if you not able to hold), pay active attention for progress and and and...
I dont know its only me, for me a working team is the half motivation for a project. Working for one target is the key....
I get it all Lamda:)I just wanted people to donate because in my opinion that is the only real token of appreciation from RBR drivers and actually the only way I can continue my work in the future after Magnolia.Because if I don't get any financial support from fans I will not be able to continue doing more tracks.Sorry but we live in a djuish world and they say love people like brothers but count money like jews.My motivation IS one of the biggest you have ever seen if it goes to track building but my fiancee will leave me (because of course she says I am stupid and losing time doing nothing-eg track building) and I will lose my apartment as well if I keep working more on tracks for free instead of working in a "job".So money is not motivation for me, it is means to be able to continue working FOR THE PEOPLE.End of story for me.If I had enough money to live I would do everything for free, but in a real world If I am to spend hundreds of hours on tracks(lets say people will say they are pretty high standard and want to drive them)I would need to get something so I can show it to my fiancee so she gets off my head:)Anyway I think that if people spend a lot of money on BF3 DLC's,and other other money-grabbing companies,they would be able to donate very very small amounts regularly to support us.It would cost almost nothing,lets say 1 beer a month for RBR real REALISM.But if 10 thousand people would pay few euro it gives a good donation that can be used to finance car physics research, to donate small amounts to creators and so on.People would be able to vote for example which track should be done next or something.All I can say that the free to play model didnt work for RBR for the last several years.And I am not being greedy,that is the last thing people can say about me.I just think that for example if people like my track-then for example 2000 people can donate only 1 Euro and I will be able to use this donation to buy a better pc and that will significantly speed up my works.Because at this moment I am struggling with 4gb RAM 800Mhz and a dual core 3ghz,the only good thing I have is a Geforce 560Ti...What I mean is that so many fans can make a big difference for creators with a very small cost to themselves.If you still want to stay with your opinion,that is fine,I cherish your opinion but I think that my point of view is not really bad in this capitalistic swamp we live in...Best Regards to all.And yes,my passion is so big I will continue to do tracks at least for some even for free,but unf it will take much longer because most of us need to work most of the week hours plus take care of other things and girlfriends and so on,so there is little time to spend tracks.Well in my opinion drivers will soon decide if they want to donate small sums and hire creators by donating them so they can spend time on doing tracks for them or maybe it is better we work for some stupid djuish corporation instead of doing tracks for the people.Don't worry Lamda I am the kind of person that never really hates,so we can argue and I won't be angry at You:)
PS.My idea is a little like Kickstarter.We can't wait for the corporations to make a proper driving simulator.It is has to be financed by the people for the people.Not by the shareholders for the shareholders IMHO.Again Best Regards.Sorry for the longest post in my life:0
Why you should angrished to me? We have different opinions, no problem. Good you tell your before. You can try to do, start a professional project which transcribe your ideas. But take a look to other projects who tryed to catch some money. It ends mostly with restrictions, hot discussions and not keep promises. this leving the trust for such ideas. The sufferer was the driver and RBR comunity itself.
about hardware, your hardware is newer than my. (Dualcore 2.8, nvidia 8800GTX ->hardware from 2008). You should buy only more Ram (you should have min 8GB) and so use the 64bit version of 3dsmax. If this isn´t enough you did something wrong during trackmodeling (to high resolution textures, to many single objects (like place the forest with single trees) It was working for Bergheim/Sieversdorf, your trackproject not looking bigger isn´t it?
I think we need to transfer this topic to some forum or private messages:) Well I am using Blender 64Bit...Because it is free software,and has less problems to me, perhaps it is a little worse optimised than 3ds max because of the code not being so good I think.Anyway it is probably the textures I should work on 2048x2048 with this amount of ram and I work with 4096x4096.If you write your email to rbrtraxx@gmail.com I will email you back and show you magnolia project so you can see how it is done.Cheers.And my idea does not mean I will ever do it.It is idea and only if people will aprove it I might start and only If other creators agree to sign a legal agreement that if they run or mispromise with the money the RBR mafia will get them:)Anyway thats just future,at beginning I am focusing on making tracks.

OdpovědětVymazatDiakon, YES, that would be nice, but there is lot of egos to do it so. unfortunately for RBR
OdpovědětVymazatbtw is there any chance to get the courcelles stage without RSRBR installed?
OdpovědětVymazatProbably not...Because Puy Du Lac was never released,it is only on rsrbr as well.years now
Vymazatbut Puy du Lac is already on Rallysimfans plugin
VymazatPuy Du Lac has appeared on Hungarian plugin several months ago. I suppose it was a mutually beneficial exchange, I do not remember the details, sorry :-)

This worked for me:
OdpovědětVymazatCopy all 47 files in aragona to Maps dir
Change track.ini:
[Map51]
TrackName = "Maps\track-47"
Particles = "Maps\ps_japan"
